This position is for a Software Engineer who will design and develop algorithm intensive software using C++ and Java programming languages. You can expect to work on geospatial and image processing systems that are being moved to a cloud architecture. In this role, you will have a chance to apply cutting edge technology and development methodologies such as Cloud architecture and continuous deployment and delivery.
What You Will Be Doing
- Create, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems
- Develop software solutions for Big Data, Cloud environments, and SQL and NoSQL database technologies
- Develop, test, and evaluate complex analytic algorithms
- Collaborate with colleagues and customers in delivering new features
- Troubleshoot problems that are reported in operations and deliver solutions that resolve the problem
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical experience
- Hands on experience with C++ programming language
- Hands on experience using a SQL database such as Oracle
- Experience with Java programming language is a plus
- Knowledge or experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure is a plus
- Knowledge or experience with NoSQL databases technologies such as MongoDB is a plus
