This is a Big Data ETL Developer that will be working to develop and enhance complex systems that involve analytics and large data sets for operational systems. You can expect to work on real world challenges in a wide range of applications involving big data platforms that provide data analysts with enhanced analytical capabilities. The position will require working with technologies ranging from full stack web development and big data platforms to large distributed systems. In this role, you will have a chance to apply cutting edge technology and development methodologies such as continuous deployment and DevOps.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop Python and Java code to ingest and transform data from SQL and NoSQL data sources
- Design, build and maintain data lake
- Proactively monitor database systems ensuring availability and performance
- Develop and enforce data security policies
What You Need for this Position:
- BS/BA in computer science or related technical field
- Experience building and maintaining data transformations using Java, or Python
- Hands on experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle is a plus
- Hands on experience with No/SQL / Big Data technologies such as MongoDB or Hadoop is a plus
- Experience working with a Data Lake is a plus
